DAY 1 - PICKUP FROM AMRITSAR – DALHOUSIE (5 HRS.)

  • Arrival at Amritsar Station or Airport, we proceed Dalhousie - a famous hill station in Himachal famous for snow-capped mountains. Quite a few Tibetan refugees have made a home in Dalhousie and there are painted rock carvings of Buddhist deities along the south side of the ridge.
  • You can also visit the British-era churches of St John (1863) and St Francis (1894) set among the pines at opposite ends of the ridge. The market areas at Subhash Chowk and Gandhi Chowk are linked by lanes – Thandi Sarak (Cold Rd) and Garam Sarak (Hot Rd). The latter lane receives more sunshine.
  • Arrive at the hotel check in and relax. Evening free for leisure at the hotel, or plan a leisurely walk at the ridge.

DAY 2 - DALHOUSIE TO KHAJJIAR EXCURSION AND LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

  • After breakfast today visit Khajjiar - Often called India's Switzerland the exquisite glade of Khajjiar (1960m) has a circumference of about 5 km. Along with its fringes thick forests of deodar climb the slopes snow-line rests above these woods. At Khajjiar there is a 12th century temple dedicated to KhajjI Nag. Within the temple are life size wooden images of the five Pandav brothers.
  • Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3 - DALHOUSIE TO DHARAMSHALA (5 HRS.)

  • After having breakfast, hit the road to Dharamshala.
  • On the way, let the cool breeze come while treating your eyes to the scenic, spread all around.
  • After arrival in Dharamshala, check-in at the hotel. Spend the evening as per your own liking.
  • The peaceful hill town of Dharamshala or Dharamsala is an ideal holiday destination that boasts of lush greenery, fresh air, thick green forests and a number of attractions.
  • Dinner and Stay overnight.

DAY 4 – Dharamshala

  • After breakfast is free for a tour of Dharamshala where you are going to cover the major attractions that are going to include Dal Lake, Church, Bhagsu Nag Temple and Tibetan Monastery.
  • All these places are filled with a lot of natural beauty.
  • After lunch we embark on a sightseeing visit to the famous Tibetan Medical Centre, where treatment is done using rare Tibetan medicines.St. John Church, which is one of the oldest churches of this region. It is widely acknowledged for its Belgian stained-glass windows, which were donated by Lady Elgin.
  • Other than these attractions, some other places to visit include Kangra Art Museum, Tea Gardens and Kunal Pathri Temple.
  • Dinner and Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5 - DHARAMSHALA TO AMRITSAR (5 HRS.)

  • Checkout from Hotel after breakfast and then we drive to Amritsar by Road.
  • Amritsar is a city in the north-western Indian state of Punjab, not far from the border with Pakistan.
  • At the center of its walled old town is the gilded Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib), considered the holiest gurdwara, or religious complex, of the Sikh religion. It's at the end of a causeway, surrounded by the sacred Amrit Sarovar lake, where pilgrims bathe. On reaching check in to the hotel.
  • Later go for a visit to Golden Temple and Jallianwala bagh.
  • If time permits, visit the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Summer Palace Museum - The summer place of Maharaja Ranjit Singh which is situated in the heart of Ram Bagh.
  • Dinner and Overnight stay at the Hotel.

DAY 6 - DEPARTURE FROM AMRITSAR

  • After breakfast, we checkout from hotel and proceed to airport/railway station to board the flight/Train back to home.
